Scientific Programme
The meeting is planned to pioneer, for the microbial ecology and evolution community, a virtual conference format anchored by 5 ‘hub’ institutions (University of Arizona, University of Minnesota, Georgia Tech, University of Exeter, and University of Lausanne). Each hub will organise local symposia that will be broadcast online and that can be attended virtually.
We do not yet know whether this format will be possible in August and are therefore also planning for a fully virtual conference.
The conference will be implemented using a combination of webinar or videoconferencing software (Zoom) and a team communication platform (like Slack) that will allow real time discussion between participants spread across the world.
